Product Description

Solve Your Cat Scratching Problems Using Original, Authentic, Soft Paws—Made in the U.S.A.

Developed by a veterinarian, Soft Paws® nail caps are made in the USA using non-toxic vinyl. The nail caps are applied to your cat's claws using a non-toxic, cold-bonding, veterinary-grade adhesive, and are a completely safe and humane solution to cat scratching problems. Soft Paws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of claws, and most cats don't even know they are wearing them.

Economical Price
Only $19.95 per package for a 4 to 6 month supply.

Each Soft Paws® kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips, and easy-to-follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications and each application lasts approximately 4 to 6 weeks, which makes each kit lasts approximately 4 to 6 months.

Small Size: (Approximately 6 months old — Approximately 6-8 pounds)

Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size if they are growing fast, or are large-breed cats.

Small-boned, adult cats often wear the small size. If your cat seems smaller than an average, full-grown cat, choose small.

  1. product works like advertised

Posted by Unknown on 28th Oct 2016

I know people who have used these for years on thier cats with no problems. Unfortunatly my cat was so odcessed over them and worked so hard to get them off she loosend a small front tooth. I knew there might be some attempts to get them off but this was a very determind cat. So be aware if your cat pulls hair when stressed they may worry over these.

  2. So far, so good!

Posted by Rosemary Hannan on 13th Oct 2016

I was a little suspicious of these (seemed to good to be true), but we have a brand new, busy kitten. While I'm not diametrically opposed to declawing, I'm not dying to do it either. We tried the "smalls" - she's about 4 months old and between 5 and 6 pounds. Our vet showed me how to put them on. SO easy, but it probably helped that Coconut didn't seem to mind at all. Took maybe 5 minutes MAX to do 10 front claws. Sweet kitty then worked really hard to get them off, but I was able to distract her well with treats and toys. She acted pretty goofy that day, and I was sad at first because she couldn't climb her kitty tree anymore. But that only lasted one day before she figured it out. She has lost a total of 6 in two weeks (not from trying to remove them; just from popping off at some point), hence the 4 star rating. I really feel like it's because she's a growing cat - our vet said to anticipate them coming off quickly while she's so little. But maybe it's because they just don't stay on? Anyway, my husband and I have had great luck putting replacement caps back on - he holds her, I do the glue-and-stick, and then he carries her around a few minutes to insure she's dry. None of the ones we've replaced have come off. Long story short, some lasted days, some are at two weeks and counting. I would like them to last longer, but I think it's worth giving them several more months to see if they stay on better once she isn't growing so fast. I'm overall very happy. I think these are DEFINITELY worth trial and error with any cat, especially if you'd like to avoid declawing.

  3. Easy to use and effective

Posted by Rebecca Bliss on 13th Oct 2016

They do exactly what they say they are going to do. I thought for sure I'd have to apply a new set after a few days because my cat is extremely active and claws everything, but it's been two weeks and all of the soft paws seem to be firmly in place. Most importantly my daughter and her cat can enjoy the silly play they love so much with out tears and bandaids!

  4. Not enough glue?

Posted by Shelley on 13th Oct 2016

My cats have pulled them off.
Because they are opaque, I could not see if I had enough glue in them. Should have purchased the clear for that reason.
The glue was also difficult to dispense. (hard to squeeze bottle). Any advice?.

  5. The dog thanks you!

Posted by Christine on 28th Sep 2016

After researching "declawing", I decided not to disfigure my very expensive purebred kitten. However, I also did not want her climbing my curtains or scratching my dogs. SoftPaws is a wonderful solution!

  6. These do not work

Posted by Unknown on 26th Sep 2016

These do not stay on more than a few days. I followed the directions exactly. They ARE NOT a substitute for de-clawing.

  7. Saved my curtains!

Posted by Gayla Corbin on 26th Sep 2016

I love soft paws. They have saved me so much frustration from my 2 little scratching up the carpet and climbing the curtains. I will be getting these as long as I have cats.

  8. Takes some adjustment but worth the rewrds!

Posted by Gerald Hubert on 31st Aug 2016

I now have Soft Paws on two cats with two different personalities (one who doesn't even like being held) and after a few months their routine is up and running much more smoothly than some of my own routines, like my almost 20-year old contact lens routine, for example. I started with clipping one or two nails one day, then clipping the rest another day, and then attaching one or two SoftPaws, etc. I recommend putting the glue container with the applicator tip on in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator right after use so the cap does not dry out. I went through so many applicator tips at first I had to order a bunch of extras. And I got glue on my hands too. Just be careful and take your time doing it. It has become a bonding experience with the cats and I have gotten so good at it they rarely come off. I went through several packs learning how to do it but I am thinking one pack will get me through a few months with both cats now. tip: clear soft paws help you see that you are adding the right amount of glue but colored ones are easier to find if they come off (from not using enough glue).

  9. Kitty Nail Caps

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Aug 2016

These nail caps are fantastic. Our cat was tearing up the carpet & furniture, until we covered her nails. We switched to another brand & soon regretted it. That's when we switched back to Soft Paws. The fact that they are made in the USA out of non-toxic materials is very important to the health of the kitties. They are soft & flexible; the ends never wear off & kitty can''t chew them off once.

  10. Bella's house mates are happier when she wears her softpaws

Posted by Denise Schaffer on 19th Aug 2016

Bella is a lively and playful girl. If not for her softpaws I am pretty sure the "boys" in my home who be very less tolerant of her. I have a much larger then her male Snowshoe and a larger then both of them Border Collie. Little Belle pushes them around a lot.
The claw covers really do prevent injury from her rough play.
She actually took to wearing them rather quickly. I am sure to speak softly to her will putting them on. I hold her for a bit after complete the application. Once all done I give her special treats. That only SHE gets and only AFTER the softpaws are on.
She still can extent her claws to "scratch" the designated scratching areas like her big brother.
The applications usually last for about 4 weeks. Some times I change them out for a different color for special occasions or holidays. Other times I just check her nails every so often and if its close to time I change them all. But if its to soon I just replace the missing one.
I know for sure to change them when i her in tick-ticking while she walks.
I high recommend softpaws for any clawed cat
