Product Description
Solve Your Cat Scratching Problems Using Original, Authentic, Soft Paws—Made in the U.S.A.
Developed by a veterinarian, Soft Paws® nail caps are made in the USA using non-toxic vinyl. The nail caps are applied to your cat's claws using a non-toxic, cold-bonding, veterinary-grade adhesive, and are a completely safe and humane solution to cat scratching problems. Soft Paws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of claws, and most cats don't even know they are wearing them.
Economical Price
Only $19.95 per package for a 4 to 6 month supply.
Each Soft Paws® kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips, and easy-to-follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications and each application lasts approximately 4 to 6 weeks, which makes each kit lasts approximately 4 to 6 months.
Small Size: (Approximately 6 months old — Approximately 6-8 pounds)
Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size if they are growing fast, or are large-breed cats.
Small-boned, adult cats often wear the small size. If your cat seems smaller than an average, full-grown cat, choose small.

Good product
Posted by Unknown on 4th Mar 2017
I got these caps for my 2cats who love tearing up the corner of my couch, plus a new one on the way. So far one cap fell off and they we're put on last week, but the groomer said I should have gotten larger size, but all in all they are working well. The cats don't scratch couch anymore.

Dont come off!

I've used "other" brands and they just don't compare to Softpaws...they stay secure and fit my cats nails perfectly.

Love!
Posted by Gabi on 22nd Feb 2017
Love these things! They protect my furniture, my face (she's very affectionate sometimes), and she doesn't seem to mind them at all! I went with the clear so she can't see them, which seems to be working!

Come off with not too much effort by cat

My cat scratches a lot and despite using copious amounts of glue, she manages to remove some caps.

Pleasently Surprised

I had my doubts that the Soft Paws would actually work, but was willing to try anything. I did not want to declaw my kitten.
It did take 2 of us to get them on. I think it would be extremely hard to apply them by myself.
What amazed me the most was that my kitten did not seem to notice he had something on his nails. He didn't walk funny and he didn't try to immediately get them off.
I had to replace a couple of nails over the first week I think mostly because I did not have enough glue on them. I worried that I would put too much in and consequently ended up putting too little glue in.
I wonder if using a calming spray before I apply them again would be helpful.
I would and have recommended them to my friends. -

She doesn't much like the process of putting them on, but once on, she is perfectly happy with them. And they are so cute!

small is still too small

I recently bought the small because kitten size was too small. These are pretty much the same size. Too small. Spent too much on last 2 orders and still have no caps that work :(

unhappy with purchase
Posted by Emily on 20th Dec 2016
Ordered a size small for my cat who weighs 8lbs. I have bought other brands of nail caps in a size small that has fit her well. I wanted to use soft paws to have more variety in my color choices. However, I was not satisfied because I found it was very difficult to get the glue into the nail cap without it getting all over the place and it took much longer to do which only causes more stress for my cat. I also found that the size small was too small for her as well compared to the other brands I have used. I bought 2 packs and plan to send the unopened one back.

Safe and Life-Changing!
Posted by Tina Anderson on 20th Dec 2016
I was so very frustrated with my calico kittens and their inability to control their claws and to use their sisal scratching posts. I am really hoping they will eventually be more deliberate about when and how they use their claws. In the meantime, the Soft Paws are truly a furniture, face, arms, fingers and legs life-saver! My 8-month-old girls are very loving and very playful and we can engage in both without my worrying that I will be accidentally raked on my face, or add another 200 holes to my jeans! They are very diligent about trying to chew them off; so, for now, I return fairy frequently to the vet techs to re-cap. The vet techs keep telling me to stay the course... that they will eventually get used to them. They use medical grade superglue as the adhesive, which is non toxic according to the Animal Poison Control Center. The soft paws themselves are also non-toxic. My vet said that if they are swallowed, they will just pass through their digestive system. My first application lasted 6 weeks, and in the 6th week, a lot of the soft paws came off, indicating it was time for nail clipping and a fresh application. I also decided to just cap the front claws and keep the rear claws trimmed. I called customer support and got wonderful advice from Anna about how to put them on to last longer. I will pass this on to the vet techs, and I believe I will eventually be able to do this myself, as my girls are getting bigger and letting me hold them longer and touch their paws without fear. Ironically, both girls now use all the scratching posts...to help get them off!

Good product for cats with skin disease
Posted by Annie G. on 17th Dec 2016
I ordered Softpaws based on reviews from other cat owners whose cats had the same skin disease as mine - where they compulsively scratch their neck until it bleeds (and in my cat's case develops a huge life-threatening infection. Scary!). The softpaws are put on the back claws to prevent that from happening. My cat has had to wear a cone for two years now. She will soon be slowly taken off the cone since the skin has healed. The softpaws will keep her from breaking the skin open again while her medication reduces the itchiness. The only criticism I have is that it's hard to visually tell if I've put glue to 1/3 of the nail cover piece. That led to a couple nail covers falling off because of too little glue. A little black line or some other way of showing how much glue to put in would be a big help. Otherwise, it works great and stays on. She barely notices them!
