Product Description
Solve Your Cat Scratching Problems Using Original, Authentic, Soft Paws—Made in the U.S.A.
Developed by a veterinarian, Soft Paws® nail caps are made in the USA using non-toxic vinyl. The nail caps are applied to your cat's claws using a non-toxic, cold-bonding, veterinary-grade adhesive, and are a completely safe and humane solution to cat scratching problems. Soft Paws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of claws, and most cats don't even know they are wearing them.
Economical Price
Only $19.95 per package for a 4 to 6 month supply.
Each Soft Paws® kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips, and easy-to-follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications and each application lasts approximately 4 to 6 weeks, which makes each kit lasts approximately 4 to 6 months.
Kitten Size: (Less than 6 months old)
Soft Paws will fit most kittens by the time they reach the age of 16 weeks (4 months). Some kittens can wear them as early as age 12 weeks (3 months) . To test, try a nail cap on first without the adhesive. If it looks too big, don't glue it on. The nail cap should fit snugly, like a glove, but not cover the cuticle.
To accommodate smaller kittens, you can trim the base of the nail cap, making it smaller so it will fit your kitten's nail.
The kitten size generally fits kittens up to about 5 pounds and about 5 months of age.

Fantastic product

I have a 2 month old stray kitten that I put these caps on and she took to them immediately. I love this, she can no longer climb my screens or claw my furniture. These were super easy to put on also, I did play with her paws for a week first to get her used to someone touching her paws. I love these caps!!

Too Big
Posted by Unknown on 16th Aug 2017
So I have a 10 week old kitten who was and still is scratching up the place. I had used softpaws on my elderly cat I had before she passed. So I thought they'd work. After reading around, I couldn't tell if they'd fit her, so I thought why not? But they were too big, so I'll have to wait until she is older and ends up ruining more things :(
Message from Soft Paws:
You can try trimming the open end of the cap to make the nail caps smaller.
And be sure to use just a tiny amount of glue. Put just a small drop in the cap, squeeze the sides to evenly disperse the glue and slide on the nail. if you notice the glue comes out the top, then there is too much glue. -
Better than Declawing!!!
Posted by jena puerce on 4th Aug 2017
Our sweet Simba was brought to us via the mout of our Labrador retriever....he literally found the kitten and brought him to us. We had no desire to add another pet to the household. Our couch was already destroyed by the queen of the house McLovin. When our vet have him a clean bill of health and told us about soft paws, we were excited to give it a try. They work perfect!!!! He licked them for a minute or two, but he's adjusted very well. He's had them on for two weeks without any issues. If McLovin can tolerate them (she's 9) then we might be able to purchase a new sofa! I highly recommend this product.

Perfect.

We got soft paws recently for our kitten and have nothing bad to say! Our other cats are declawed, but we did not want to declaw this one so it has worked out great. They were very easy to put on, one paw stayed on longer because it was the second one the first paw we did came off within 2 weeks but that was our fault (we didn't use enough glue). Our kitten does not bother them on her paws at all! So glad we found this product.

Fall off very quickly

We liked the idea of this product as an alternative to de clawing our kitten, that was just not an option. But her long claws hurt and scratch up our new furniture. The soft paws are kinda hard to put on her unless she is very sleepy, she doesn't like to be still and tries to play when we put them on. We also found that just after a few days majority of her soft paws we put on were missing. We see her biting and chewing at them a lot but overall it doesn't seem to bother her that much. My only complaint is that they don't stay on for more than a couple of days.
MESSAGE FROM SOFT PAWS:
Thank you for your comments. Hopefully we can help.
Kittens are very active, in fact down right rambunctious. Plus they have very little claws. This means that there is very little area for the glue to adhere to the nail and then, when the nail caps are in place, they are really put to the stress test.
What we recommend first of all is not trimming the nails before application, or if necessary, trimming only the very tip of the nail so the nail cap can fit all the way to the base of the nail. This allows more surface area for the glue to adhere the nail cap to the nail.
Squeeze one or two drops into the cap and press the sides to disperse the glue.
Also, how old is your kitten? Do the nail caps fit well in your opinion? What size are you using?
I think we can probably get this situation solved and you will be very happy with the product.
Please feel free to contact us so we can help. And again, thank you for your comments.
