The nail caps are applied to your cat's claws using a non-toxic, cold-bonding, veterinary-grade adhesive, and are a completely safe and humane solution to cat scratching problems. Soft Paws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of claws, and most cats don't even know they are wearing them.

Each Soft Paws® kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips, and easy-to-follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications and each application lasts approximately 4 to 6 weeks, which makes each kit lasts approximately 4 to 6 months.

Kitten Size: (Less than 6 months old)

Soft Paws will fit most kittens by the time they reach the age of 16 weeks (4 months). Some kittens can wear them as early as age 12 weeks (3 months) . To test, try a nail cap on first without the adhesive. If it looks too big, don't glue it on. The nail cap should fit snugly, like a glove, but not cover the cuticle.

To accommodate smaller kittens, you can trim the base of the nail cap, making it smaller so it will fit your kitten's nail.

The kitten size generally fits kittens up to about 5 pounds and about 5 months of age.

These are great!

I bought these because my mom was concerned about my kitten destroying the furniture and I refused to declaw him, so we settled on this as a compromise. Once I got a feel for putting them on, they work great. They stayed on for two weeks and counting when I put them on correctly. My kitten took them surprisingly well, too. I don't think he even realizes or cares that they're on him. Would highly recommend.

After my kitten jumped on my leather desk chair leaving a long scratch, I decided It was high time to order Soft Paws. They were relatively easy to put on my 4 1/2 month old kitten. He was particularly pleased at having them put on and I dropped a couple but eventually we got them on. He pulled at a couple and they fell off but I persevered. It's been 3 days and holding up. He seems pretty used to them now. So far so good!

We've used them on our other cats with good success. One of our cats passed away suddenly so we got a new kitten from the Shelter to keep Oscar company. They are doing great with each other. Put first soft paws set on Angus and he has adapted well to them. A squirming kitten is a challenge, but I won!!

Phoenix was a cat found on the streets and was used to the rough and tough lifestyle in the hood, so bringing him into a safe a loving home was an adjustment for his usual aggressive lifestyle. He wants to love and hug but stays on edge with his claws locked and cocked ready to rock at all times, his family his victims. We then introduced him to softpaws and at first he was mad that he couldn't be a fighter, but he slowly learned to calm down and became a lover.

I ordered the kitten size, my cat is about 3 months old. She is still in the early phases, and pulls 1-2 every 2 days, but the application is easy. My arms, legs, and my dog's nose look way better without the scratches!!

I was very pleased when they arrived and was excited to try them out. The first day I woke up after putting them on she had found a way to get four of the eight off. During the second application, I used much more glue and had better success in keeping them on. She still gets a few peeled off each week, but we are getting better at the application each time. Thanks!

I bought the kitten size long time since I had a kitten he is a Maine Coon. I have to buy a larger size. I have been buying these for years. Exceptional product. highly recommend.. My arms look better not so scratched up.

We recently got a new kitten. He mostly stays in my son's room, and doesn't seem to scratch. We had him in our basement and I noticed a huge scratch in our leather couch - and right then I ordered soft paws. I was a little nervous about putting them on, but it was pretty easy. He didn't seem to mind them once they were on. Most importantly, this has saved my poor dog's nose! The dog *really* wants to be the kitten's friend, but the kitten also likes to swipe at the dogs nose. WIth Soft Paws the kitten gets his point across without hurting the dog. Now the cat can freely roam the house without me worrying about him damaging the furniture. We bought the blue, which I like because I can quickly tell if they are on, but next time we'll get black or clear, because my son doesn't like the blue.

I really enjoy using this so far. I just have a couple concerns about how things are done. First of all, I don't think there's enough plastic glue application things. Also, there has got to be a cleaner way of entering the glue into the nail caps. The application things get glue all over the neck of the glue tube, which means I won't be able to open the lid in a while. All in all, I like them. My kitten hates them lol. But the kitten size continues to fit her, even though she is 8 months old now.
