Product Description
Solve Your Cat Scratching Problems Using Original, Authentic, Soft Paws—Made in the U.S.A.
Developed by a veterinarian, Soft Paws® nail caps are made in the USA using non-toxic vinyl. The nail caps are applied to your cat's claws using a non-toxic, cold-bonding, veterinary-grade adhesive, and are a completely safe and humane solution to cat scratching problems. Soft Paws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of claws, and most cats don't even know they are wearing them.
Economical Price
Only $19.95 per package for a 4 to 6 month supply.
Each Soft Paws® kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips, and easy-to-follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications and each application lasts approximately 4 to 6 weeks, which makes each kit lasts approximately 4 to 6 months.
Kitten Size: (Less than 6 months old)
Soft Paws will fit most kittens by the time they reach the age of 16 weeks (4 months). Some kittens can wear them as early as age 12 weeks (3 months) . To test, try a nail cap on first without the adhesive. If it looks too big, don't glue it on. The nail cap should fit snugly, like a glove, but not cover the cuticle.
To accommodate smaller kittens, you can trim the base of the nail cap, making it smaller so it will fit your kitten's nail.
The kitten size generally fits kittens up to about 5 pounds and about 5 months of age.

Great product!

We decided to adorn our kitty, Abby, with Soft Paws to avoid ruined furniture and scratches to us. These are the best invention. Easy to put on as long as you have a good hold on your cat ~lol. She's cooperative most of the time. Our vet put them on the first time, but we knew we had to be able to do it ourselves because they do need replacing when one falls off. Can't run to the vet all the time. So after some practice we've got it down pat. It's easy if two people put them on ~ one to hold kitty and the other to slip the Soft Paw on. And she's not bothered by them. Doesn't even know she has them on.

Great!

These 'paws' are great and my furniture thanks you. I was not sure they would stay on but in a week only one has come off. She does not seem to mind them at all and we are thankful. Because we were thinking about giving her to someone else.

Aggressive scratchy kitten turned playful loving baby
Posted by Laura B on 2nd Oct 2015
I got my kitten, Jackson, before I started my job. This is the first solely indoor cat I've had. This is also the first kitten I've had living on my own. I'm a teacher at a Charter School and I work up to 16 hour days. Jax started to get aggressive because I could only play with him a couple of hours a day, then I had to lock him out of my room when I slept for my own safety. He was so lonely, and I felt equally guilty. I got him Soft Paws for Kittens, and it made a world of a difference! I don't know why... but he is much less aggressive and much more loving and friendly. He grows out of them and (because he's teething) and chews them off in a couple of weeks rather than a month, but DEFINITELY worth it. I've spread the word and it's helped fellow cat owners. I even got some friends to try it again. Thank you! (I'm not girly at all, but I painted my nails the same color as his so he wouldn't feel insecure, haha.)

Working Better After Trial and Error
Posted by Marie on 30th Sep 2015
We purchased Soft Paws a little more than 2 weeks ago for our new kitten, Amber. We applied Soft Paws to the front and trimmed the back claws when she was first 12-14 weeks old. She was abandoned, so we don't know her exact age.
I have to admit, we lost quite a few during the first week, with only 15 now remaining in the initial package. I have already ordered more. But even with the numbers lost, we are grateful for no more scratches, the drapes are surviving, as well as the new leather chair. I expected to lose more at the beginning since she is a fast growing kitty and we are new to the product. The good news is the number lost started going down after we really got the hang of attaching them. We finally went three whole days without losing a single one, and the one lost today I think was naturally sheathed, because her now exposed claw is shiny and didn't have traces of glue.
What we have learned:
1. If you are just starting out with your kitten or cat, order extra glue applicators from the accessories page. You only receive 5 with an order and you will go through those pretty quickly at first, as I have run out. Extras are only 99 cents for five. Still only on the first tube of glue, though.
2. Make sure to follow all of the instructions for kittens, such as starting with clean nails. Just a couple of swipes with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol does the trick. The one time we skipped that step, the cap fell off after about two hours.
3. I have to trim a tiny smidgeon from the Soft Paw to make sure the claw is able to reach all the way into the cap. As she grows, I am pretty sure I will be able to discontinue this step.
4. After you put a couple of glue drops into the Soft Paw, give it a little squeeze, as shown in the video, to spread the glue inside.
5. While we were waiting for the package to be delivered, we started practicing by holding her "like a baby" and touching and holding her paws and exposing each claw, cleaning her front claws, etc., so she was comfortable with that when it came time for the first application.
I am glad that I discovered Soft Paws and can't wait for Amber to grow into a larger size so we can get a really cool color.

They will not stay attached!
Posted by Mahala Thomas on 28th Aug 2015
We have had these for 3+ weeks and have reattached at least one a day since we first put them on. I understood they should fall off for the first week or so but by this time, they should have started to stay on.. AND with them on, his paws still are able to puncture my furniture. very disappointing.

Kitty has blue pedicure!
Posted by Unknown on 25th Aug 2015
We have glued the Soft Paws to both front and back claws. This is definitely saving our furniture and our skin from her frantic attacking behaviors. She likes to do her best to remove them so we have to replace a few every one or two weeks. Hopefully this will slow down when she advances beyond the kitten activities. -

so cute!
Posted by Kathee on 10th Aug 2015
This is a very cute and useful product. My kitty was tearing up everything. He did not like me putting these on but after the first one he calmed down and he got used to them quickly. The only thing he doesn't like now is he can'tget in "his" window because it is too high and he can't grab on. he has only had 2 fall off and were easily replaced. Other thanbeing careful and not glueing your fingers together during application I love this product and alternative option to getting him declawed. Thank you
